Recovery Home

The Cindy House

  •  The Cindy House is a recovery residence for women that are homeless, living with HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, have co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders or simply need a safe environment in which to solidify their recovery. Here women must refrain from all alcohol and drugs, live by the spiritual principles, attend anonymous meetings, and follow rules.

  • The Cindy House gives the individual an opportunity to interact with the real world environment while still benefiting from a peer-oriented, structured therapeutic program. The ultimate goal of the program is long-term abstinence from drugs and alcohol and recidivism.

Cindy House Namesake- Cindy Maine

Why "Cindy House"?

The Cindy House was named  for a beautiful, vivacious woman in recovery. Her name was Cindy. Her life was cut short tragically after 2 short years spent uplifting,  inspiring and encouraging her peers in recovery. She was tireless in her devotion to one purpose: To carry the message to the addict who still suffers. We miss you very much Cindy- your work goes on....
